Cima alla Serra is a traditional farmhouse and hospitality facility, characterized by its location in an area where nature and culture coexist under the authentic spirit of the Tuscan rural tradition.
The farmhouse is an oasis of peace and beauty nestled on the slopes of Mount Serra, a few kilometers from Pisa, immersed in the wonder of olive trees and woods and enhanced by ancient energies that make this land a magical destination. In 2009 the Bizzarri family, under the direction of their father Francesco, took over the large farm on Monte Serra and started the renovation of the old house, creating 8 apartments located on two levels that represent the heart of today’s hospitality venue. Furthermore, the intervention led to the construction of three large fully equipped terraces overlooking one of the most spectacular scenery in the region. A finely crafted project that marked the birth of that oasis of peace and beauty that is Cima alla Serra. In addition to the great care put in the outdoor area, shaped by local stones and enriched by a spacious garden made of aromatic plants and raspberries, olive, lemons and cherry trees, and the typical Mediterranean bushes, interiors have been designed to recall a precise style. The Tuscan spirit and the rural matrix of Cima alla Serra are thus translated into sobriety in its comfortable apartments, set up with antique furnishings embellished with fine details such as the terracotta floors and Carrara marble on the kitchen tops, above the chestnut and cast iron stoves.
REDISCOVERED NATURE
An olive grove of several hectares accompanies the ascent towards Cima alla Serra, along the side of the homonymous mountain: a tribute that well represents the personality and culture of this expanse of munificent plants, committed to the search for true beauty in simple things. Nature here is not a frill added to please the visitor: it is the very matrix which emerges from every detail translating into a dominant landscape, into the taste for its simple beauty: a relaxing oasis dedicated to energy regeneration, away from the noise of everyday life.
